Text messages from the pharmacy

If you asked us to text you, this page is what you agreed to: what we send, how often, what it costs, and how to stop. You cannot sign up here — there is no form on this page.

Last reviewed: [CLIENT TO SUPPLY: review date, set on publication].

What we text about

[CLIENT TO SUPPLY: the exact list of message types this program sends — for example refill-ready notices, order status, a returned call. Write it as the pharmacy actually intends to use it. It must match the sample messages filed with the campaign.]

Texts come from [CLIENT TO SUPPLY: the sending phone number, once the 10DLC number is provisioned]. We do not send marketing or promotional texts, and we do not text you anything we would not say out loud at the counter.

A text is never the right place for an emergency. If you are having one, call 911 or go to an emergency department. To report a reaction to a medicine, call the pharmacy on (301) 690-6880 — see reporting an adverse event.

You sign up in person at our Chevy Chase counter, or by telling a pharmacist on the phone. There is no way to enrol through this website: no page on this site takes your prescription details or your phone number, and that is deliberate. Health information belongs on the phone or a secure fax, not a web form.

What you agree to

[CLIENT TO SUPPLY: the consent sentence, reproduced word for word from the paper form the patient signs at the counter and from the script a pharmacist reads on the phone. It must name Quantum Pharmacy, say the messages are about the patient’s prescriptions, state that consent is not a condition of any purchase, and state that message and data rates may apply.]

Agreeing is optional. We fill your prescription the same way whether or not you let us text you, and you can change your mind at any time.

You can see the form we ask you to sign.

How often

[CLIENT TO SUPPLY: message frequency, stated the way the campaign states it — for example “message frequency varies”, or a number of messages per order or per month. Do not guess; carriers check this against traffic.]

Cost

We do not charge you for texts. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your plan and your carrier.

STOP and HELP

Reply STOP to any message from us and the texts end. You will get one message confirming that, and then nothing further. Stopping the texts does not affect your prescriptions — we will call you instead.

Reply HELP for help, or call the pharmacy on (301) 690-6880 during the hours listed on our contact page.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your number

Your mobile number is part of your pharmacy record and is handled under our privacy policy. We use it to reach you about your prescriptions. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The messaging provider that delivers the texts processes your number only to deliver them on our behalf.

Our policies page covers privacy, shipping and returns, adverse events and beyond-use dating.
