Pricing
One price, and you see it before you pay
We charge one cash price per prescription, and we confirm it with you before a pharmacist starts making anything. There’s no copay to look up, no insurance company in the middle, and no bill that turns up later with a different number on it.

What the price depends on
We price the prescription, not your insurance
The price is mostly the ingredients plus the time it takes to make. Four things move it:
- The ingredientsWhat they cost us, at the strengths your doctor asked for
- What they’re mixed intoA plain cream costs us far less than a specialised gel designed to carry medicine through skin
- How much we makeA 120 g jar isn’t four times the price of a 30 g tube of the same thing
- The form it takesCapsules and lozenges have to be counted and moulded one by one; liquids don’t
What does not affect it: how good your insurance is, whether you’ve hit your deductible, or what an insurer might have paid.

What’s included
The price we quote is the whole price
Shipping
Two-day shipping is included, anywhere we’re licensed. If your medicine needs to stay cold on the way, that packaging is included too. Picking it up at the counter is free either way.
Pharmacist time
The safety check before we make anything, the call to your doctor if something needs changing, and every question you ask us afterwards. We never bill you for talking to a pharmacist.
Refills at the same price
Anything we’ve made for you before costs the same next time, unless your doctor changes the prescription or an ingredient gets more expensive. If that happens, we tell you before we make it.
Insurance
Why we don’t bill your insurance
Most compounded prescriptions aren’t covered anyway. Filing them regardless is what creates the approval requests, the appeals, and the three weeks you spend waiting on an answer that was always going to be no.
Two things are still worth knowing. First, if you have an FSA or HSA, a compounded prescription normally counts as an eligible expense, and we’ll give you an itemised receipt showing what we made, the date and the amount. Second, if your plan pays you back for out-of-network pharmacies, that same receipt is what you’d send them. We can’t promise how your plan will treat it, and we won’t pretend otherwise.
Ask us for the receipt when you order, or any time afterwards.
Find out what yours will cost
Send us the prescription, or the recipe your doctor is considering, and we’ll tell you the price before anything is made.
